Persuasive Speech/ why school days and weeks should be shorter?

The question everyone is asking is why we spend so much hours in school. We spend 7 hours a day, 5 days a week for a minimum of 12 years. Isn’t that too much? Although some  think it’s for a better education. I believe that time is very valuable, its priceless. We should consider where and how we spend that time, specially in schools. School days and weeks should be shorter for good. We spend so much time in school but I doubt anyone learns for all these hours. I reckon none of you have any motivation or energy after the second or third lesson.

In my opinion we can have more productive learning by having shorter lessons which means shorter days. Imagine going home at 1 pm or even 12? Just because we have long lessons doesn’t mean we learn more. I believe in the saying, quality over quantity. We can go to school for 10 hours bubt will it make us learn more? I don’t think so. As I said before, quality is better than quantity and a lot of teachers might say less time will mean they wouldn’t have enough time to teach everything. But my answer to them is, try different methods that might actually work. Im just not spitting out words though. This has been done in Finland for a long time now. They

Finnish students spend some of the least time at school compared to other  countries. In 2010, Finnish children aged 9-11 spent an average 640 hours in school a year, compared to an  average of 821 hours. In England, the average was 899 hours, in France, 847 hours and in Japan, 800 hours.
